Available Opportunities
The Special Education Teacher serves students with Individualized Education Plans that present a wide variety of learning and cognitive profiles. Candidate must hold an instructional certification along with a Teacher of Students with Disabilities endorsement through the NJ Department of Education.
Candidate is responsible for planning and delivering music and music therapy services to students in the program. This position requires creativity and innovation in planning activities that meet the individual needs of all students with the goal of fostering an appreciation for the achievement of a healthy and engaged lifestyle. This is a highly collaborative position that requires the Music Teacher to integrate their expertise into a wide variety of educational settings in the school and community.
Candidate is responsible for attending to daily needs of individual student. This includes, but is not limited to, all aspects of supervising and assisting the student in the classroom and facility, as well as attending to the routine and emergent physical needs of the student throughout the day. Must possess willingness to work with individuals with multiple disabilities. High school diploma required.
Direct Support Professional (Adult Program)
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for supporting and supervising consumers during activities in the program setting and community at large.The DSP is also responsible for recording data and documentation per the consumer's service objectives. All DSPs are expected to demonstrate a high level of professional judgment and problem solve effectively when supporting consumers in all settings. All DSPs are expected to provide transportation to and from all community-based activities in Kingsway vehicles. When appropriate, DSPs will be expected to assist consumers in the utilization of public transportation for community activities including buses.
Self Directed Employee (Adult Program)
The Self Directed Employee (SDE) is responsible for all aspects of supporting and supervising consumers during structured, goal-oriented learning experiences in community settings. This includes planning and implementing strategies with collaboration from the individual's Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) that support goals and activities as outlined in the consumer's Individual Support Plan (ISP) and Person Centered Planning Tool (PCPT). Qualified candidates must be 25 years of age and have their high school diploma. Must have a valid drivers license, pass a DMV record check and background check, and have their own vehicle. Minimum levels of personal auto insurance limits required.
